The image, and all the action and emotion it evokes – energy, cooperation, productivity, community – might seem to be a thing meant for our history books. But the barn-raising spirit is alive and well, and needed more than ever. Our communities today are ripe with opportunities for more barn-raisings, and we’re building something much more enduring than a barn – we’re building our collective future. Tara Kuipers works as an educator and facilitator in Wyoming and across the Mountain West. She gets excited about the topics of leadership and community development, public participation, organizational development and adult learning. Tara is passionate about striking a healthy work-life balance through cycling, hiking, traveling, and spending time with her husband.
